Justin Hunt

Founder of Social Media Leadership Forum and ItsOpen

Justin is founder of the Social Media Leadership Forum (www.socialmedialeadershipforum.org) and ItsOpen (www.itsopen.co.uk), a leading social media consultancy.

Justin has written about new technologies for The Guardian, The Financial Times, and The Sunday Times.

In a past life, he worked on public relations for David Beckham and was head of public relations for Capital Radio.

He lives in Brighton. He is a Dad, enjoys comedy and when he has time goes to ‘hot yoga’ classes.

His partner, Holly, makes chocolate and supplies Harvey Nichols and John Lewis foodhalls (www.chocoholly.com).

Fran Bodley-Scott

SMLF Community Manager

Fran’s role is all about helping members to get as much value from the Social Media Leadership Forum as possible. As a result she gets involved in most aspects of the SMLF, from organising events and networking opportunities, to providing a ‘communications centre’, and helping members of the SMLF community connect so they can exchange ideas about social media issues and opportunities.

Fran started out as an engineer working in manufacturing (making tin cans amongst other things!)  before moving into marketing and communications. She is always happy to hear from SMLF members about events, communications, topics that you want to learn about, and even about members’ social media campaigns that you’d like us to tweet about.

Ian Head

SMLF Event and Production Manager

Ian has been a member of the ItsOpen and SMLF teams from the very start. He is responsible for the logistics of the SMLF events and the design, management and production of much of the marketing collateral used by both ItsOpen and SMLF.

In his spare time he visits the gym and bar in equal amounts and enjoys sport, astronomy, steam trains and getting as much heat (and pizza) as possible out of his homemade clay pizza oven (http://iansclayoven.blogspot.com).

Ben Davies

Behind the scenes at the Social Media Leadership Forum

Ben has over 12 years of experience working in corporate communications, both in-house and as a freelancer.

He helps to shape the SMLF events so that they meet the needs of big companies and allow representatives of the world’s biggest brands to share their social media experiences. He also helps to raise awareness of the Social Media Leadership Forum by making the most of social channels and the occasional bit of ‘traditional’ PR and Marketing.

Ben can usually be found beavering away at back of the room at SMLF events, making a video or writing an article about the discussion. Feel free to interrupt him and say hi at the next event!
